Lot 001 - Antique Victorian 1/6th Plate Color Tinted Daguerreotype Post Mortem Photograph Of A Deceased Woman At Rest On White Linens, In Original Thermoplastic "Genuine Union Case," Patented By S. Peck, 1854 And H. Halverson, 1855Pre Auction Notes: An excellent example of mid 19th century of postmortem photography. Case features fountain motif with birds on both sides, and original purple pillow. Photograph is in excellent condition with minor spots around border and tarnishing along the bottom of brass mat. Brass mat has many age related spots in bottom left, top left and top right corners. Case is in near perfect original condition with minor wear and tear.
